My name is Karin Resetarits and I am a delegate of the European Parliament. Before I became a politician, I had worked for many years as a culture journalist for the Austrian television ORF. With my political activity I have realized how vital the cultural exchange between nations is. Art overcomes barriers, which still exist in the minds of many people and which are usually of political origin. A Gala like the "Shen Yun Chinese Spectacular" helps bring people closer together. It demonstrates the enormous cultural variety of China and thereby emphasizes the beautiful side of this country.
