Chinese Spectacular, the world's largest Chinese performing arts series, will premiere in Honolulu in 2008. The series will welcome audiences from more than 60 major cities across four continents in their global tour. Since 2004, the tremendous worldwide popularity of the Spectacular has led to a corresponding growth in the size of its tour, from 5 cities and 7 shows  in the first year to 32 cities and 81 shows in 2007.

The Chinese Spectacular uses the expression of Chinese classical dance to showcase authentic traditional Chinese culture. Through background scenery, costumes, and dance movements, the Spectacular expresses pure truthfulness, pure compassion, and pure beauty. The music represents a successful blending of Western orchestral instruments with traditional Chinese instruments. It expresses in a complete and harmonious fashion the joy of heavenly music inspired by gods, and captures the true spirit of ancient Chinese divine culture. The history of China comes to life in this gorgeous performance that is at once entertaining, inspiring, and uplifting.

All program content is presented in both Chinese and English.
